Spring Favorites: Old is New

Happy Hump Day. As you probably know from my fall and winter favorites, I’m only doing favorites posts each season because it would get a little redundant if I made monthly posts. My theme for spring is “old is new.” I’ve been digging through my things and rediscovered some old favorites, along with some new ones. Want to see my spring must haves? Keep reading.

Spring Faves

Naked 3 Palette: Starting with the new (for me), I am loving the Naked 3 Palette for spring. Full of pinks and purples, it’s perfect for creating girly spring time looks in colors that are office appropriate. I recently reviewed this here.

Mario Badescu Ceremide Herbal Eye Cream: Also new, I’ve been testing out a sample of this and I must say that I love it. I like to keep the skin around my eyes super moisturized, so prior to using this, I would either use an eye cream twice a day (once in the morning and once before bed) or I would layer my moisturizer around the eye area. Since using this product, I have not had to do that. This is so moisturizing that I just use a little at night and put a little lightweight moisturizer around my eyes in morning (and even that’s not really necessary).

Floral Scarves: I bought this floral scarf at a thrift store and I absolutely love it. It’s fun and feminine. It can still be pretty chilly around here this time of the year, so wearing a floral scarf keeps me warm while putting me in the spring spirit.

Hello To Gorgeous Compact: This speaks for itself. My friend gave me this compact for Christmas because of my blog name and I’ve been meaning to feature it every since. It’s so cute!

Hello Gorgeous Compact

OCC Lip Tar in Narcissus: I haven’t been shy about proclaiming my love for this long lasting formula. I absolutely love the color Narcissus, but if I’m completely honest, I didn’t wear it much in winter. It’s such a gorgeous color, but with below freezing temperature every day, my face looked raw and red even under my tinted moisturizer, which looked pretty horrific with this color every time I went outside. Now that the weather is warmer, I’m going to break this color out a lot more often.

DSUK Handbag: I saved the best for last. DSUK sent me this bag last summer and I’ve been using it regularly ever since. The dusty pink color makes it perfect for spring. It’s the perfect size and a nice neutral color.

So those are my spring favorites. What are yours? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. LOVE the bag V, that beautiful blush colour is so pretty and perfect for this time of year! Of course what could be better than the Naked Palettes – I absolutely adore 3 but for some reason have been using a lot of the original lately, I take notions lol Brill favs 🙂 x

    • Thank you! I’m really happy to have gotten it. If I remember correctly, their line of bags sold on LYDC’s website and were reasonably priced

  2. As a new blogger I really enjoyed reading your favorites. Like myself you are new to the Naked 3 palette, well actually i have never even thought about it, would you recommend it?

    • Not really, but other people say it bleeds. The trick is to use very little. I squeeze out as little as possible on the back on my hand and use the lip brush that comes with to apply. Even with how little I use, I still have some left over on the back of my hand
