Happy Monday, beauties! I had previously reviewed ColourPop’s matte eyeshadows, when someone mentioned in the comment section that their glittery and metallic eyeshadows were really their strong point. Luckily, I won two glittery ColourPop eyeshadows from Laynie at Fashion and Lashes, which I will be reviewing for you today.
Color: Both colors have this beautiful shimmer and sparkle. Nillionaire is a gorgeous neutral, medium brown shade with gold glitter. Flipper is a pale peachy orange shade, leaning a little on the pink side with matching glitter.
Color Payoff: Like before, the color payoff on these is lovely. It’s not quite as good as the matte shades, but still more than I hoped for. What’s more, you can really see the glitter in the eyeshadow, unlike other eyeshadows in which the glitter just disappears as soon as it reaches your lid.
Texture: I really like the texture of both of these. Sometimes glittery eyeshadows can be chunky or irritating, especially if the sparkle payoff is good. These feel buttery and smooth in the pot and buttery and smooth on the eyelid.
Application: Just like the last time I reviewed ColourPop. I might get a little whiny in this section. Nillionaire applies and blends out beautifully. I have absolutely no complaints with that one. Flipper is a bit trickier. I first tried applying it using a flat brush to really pack on the color. That was a big mistake. Applying this with the brush, I found it to be horribly patchy. I’m not the type of person to wipe my makeup off and start over again if it isn’t perfect, but I would not have left the house with my eyeshadow looking like that. So I changed tactics. ColourPop recommends applying with your fingers, so that’s what I tried. Using the fingertip method, it was a total 180. It went on smooth and evenly. Even though I’m impressed with how it well it worked using my fingertips, I am a little annoyed that it didn’t work as well with a brush, as I find that to be a little less messy. Below are pictures of Flipper applied with my fingers.
Price: $5.00 each
Cruelty-Free: Yes, and made in America.
So what do you think? Have you tried these eyeshadows? What brand would you like to see reviewed next? Let me know in the comments below!
I wish I can easily purchase Colourpop cosmetics. They don’t sell it here in the Philippines 😦
Sorry! I hate when that happens 😦
I haven’t tried Colorpop eyeshadows yet because I hate using my fingers to do makeup and everybody says that’s the best way to apply them but they do look gorgeous. Thanks for the review V 🙂
I feel the same way. Nillionaire was fine applied with a fluffy brush, but I’m really disappointed in Flipper. I honestly hate using my fingers
Glad to know I’m not the only one hehe
Nillionaire is beautiful! 🙂
I love it!
I just ordered some of their liquid lipsticks..can’t wait to try!
Can’t wait to see what you think! I haven’t had much luck with liquid lipsticks in the past so color me intrigued.
These sound pretty great for glitter shadows! I love the colors too! Great review:)
They are! I don’t usually go for glittery shadows but these are nice
Thanks for the review! I’m still on the fence about whether or not I want to try them out…
They’re nice products. Not the best ever, but great, especially for the price
Nillionaire looks amazing!!

I just got my latest ColourPop order today. I use a small, flat concealer brush to apply the shadows.
You have to let me know how you like your latest order

Nillionaire is absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to see a makeup look with that shadow (if you’re looking for a reason to do that sort of post). Fab post! Jessica xx
I’ll try to do one. I did a look earlier but forgot to take pics
Never tried this brand before.. I can’t even think of eyeshadow in this heat. But the gold is a great shade!
Lol, I guess I’m fanatical. I wear eyeshadow in all weather
beautiful shades and great review :).kisses!
Thank you!
Yay!! I’m so glad you like Nillionaire!! You know I am a fan. I don’t have flipper but I have some others and I do find that all apply well with the fingers but some can be very patchy with a brush. The formulas really vary and it’s hit or miss but for 5 bucks…Flipper looks so pretty on you btw!!
Thanks! I’m surprised by how much I like it
Flipper is pretty!
Thanks 😀
