Getting Back Into Blogging After 2 and a Half Years- Where Have I Been?

Wow, as I looked over my blog recently, I couldn’t help but notice that my last post was in 2015! It’s insane to think I’ve been away from this blog for so long, especially considering how much time I used to devote to it.

So where have I been? For those of you who are still following me after my long absence (hi!), you know that I got engaged in February 2015. And if you didn’t follow me then, you can read all about my wedding dress shopping experience here.

And if being engaged wasn’t enough, in June 2015 we moved to another state! Then in September, I started a new job. With all this going on, I just didn’t have the same amount of time to devote to blogging.

It took me a while to get back into it, but now that I’ve started again, I hope you will follow me on my journey. I’m sad to see so many of the bloggers I followed 2.5 years ago have stopped writing, but I’m excited to discover new blogs as well.

Have you ever taken a break from blogging? Let me know in the comments below!Bridal sleeves

  1. I have never taken that long off but I have def taken off a few months at a time, I would love to see some wedding photots! I’ve been around since 2015, and I am happy to see you back! There are a lot of fairweather bloggers who start in January and then realize it’s time consuming and I never see them again!

  2. I have just started blogging, I don’t know how things work in the blogging world but I am writing and publishing posts till I figure things out. πŸ˜€

  3. Welcome back! Been wondering what happened to you! Longest break I took from my blog was maybe a month? I have cut down on how often I post but I still try to post at least once a week. Sometimes I’m just too lazy. πŸ˜‚

  4. It’s nice to see you back girl! Life just does take over sometimes – the longest I took away was 3 weeks while I was off getting married last year/on honeymoon – but I did have guest posts scheduled for while I was away, it was a very weird feeling logging back on after a three week break, 2.5 years must be very weird!

  5. Welcome back! I saw you’ve been active on various blogs in the past few days. πŸ™‚

I took a few breaks last year and I actually just recently made the decision to stop blogging since the passion is gone. I’m winding down my blog as we speak… final post will go up next week. I’ll still be reading blogs though, just not updating mine.

So are you married now? ❀

    • Oh no! I can’t believe I came back just to see you leave! I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things. I forgot how much I loved talking to other bloggers πŸ™‚ And yes, I’ve been married for a year and a half. Time flies!

  6. Yasss glad to see you’re back. I was off and on for a while my self and I know the longer you’re away the harder it is to get back in to it. And I know what you mean about some of the writers :(. You and I followed some of the same writers that seem to have stopped writing as well but hopefully everyone is happy in their journey.

    • I agree, you wonder about the bloggers you were friends with. Because you know each other online, you don’t always get to know what happened to them

  7. Hey V! How are you? It’s Katie. I used to have Plus+ Beauty Blog. I ended up taking a year hiatus. I had a lot of things to deal with when it came to my health. Then over a year ago, I decided to come back, but wanted a fresh start. So I started a new blog with a new address. It’s now Kate’s Vanity Blog. Though I admit that I’ve taken a bit of break from blogging these past few months or more. I’ve still been going through some health stuff, but I’m hoping to post again really soon! Even if it’s just another update post lol. I hope all has been well with you and it’s so great to see you on here! xoxo

    • Yay, I’m glad you stopped by! I’ll have to check out your new blog. I didn’t see you and I was hoping you hadn’t left

      • Hey! I was gone for a while. I needed time to recover and just a really long break. Then I just wanted to start fresh. I didn’t really care about having a certain number of followers, so I didn’t mind starting over. It’s hard to try to find everyone again after you’re gone for a while lol.
