Happy Monday everyone! So by now the Tarte Tartelette palette isn’t exactly news. In fact, I had been meaning to review it since I got it for Christmas 2015, but as I mentioned in a previous post, life got in the way. However, after more than 2 years, I am still loving this palette, so I knew I had to review it!
Color: The colors in this palette range from some beautiful neutrals (browns, creams) to gorgeous shades of violet. Honestly, of all the non-neutral eyeshadows, purples seem to be some of the easiest to pull off in a toned down day time look. Unless, of course, you do an eighties inspired purple look, like I did here.
Color Payoff: These shades are beautiful and pigmented, although I’m not too sure how bright the lighter colors show up. It’s pretty hard to tell on my pale skin.
Texture: These are smooth and completely perfect. I remember this palette originally coming out when all matte palettes were a really huge trend. In general, I find the texture of matte eyeshadow to be much smoother than shimmery shades, so it’s no surprise here that these have a great texture.
Application: These go on smooth and blend out evenly. In general, I find these very easy to work with and have even used these on occasion to line my eyes or fill in my brows.
Price: $46.00 USD
Cruelty-Free: Tarte itself is cruelty-free, but its parent company, Kose, is not
So what do you think? Have you tried this palette? What eyeshadow should I try next? Let me know in the comments below!
What a gorgeous palette! I’ve never tried anything from Tarte 😦
I highly recommend this one if you like all matte colors!
I have this palette and like it a lot. Some have complained they’re hard to blend but I have no issues. I have to remind myself to use it though as I have so many other palettes I tend to grab for more often.
I know the feeling! I tend to reach for whatever is my newest palette, but I keep going back to this one. It’s so pretty
What a stunning palette ❤

I love it!
One of my all time favorite palettes! This post makes me want to dig mine out. I haven’t used it in a while. I really love the Tartelette in Bloom as well.
That one looks so pretty, but I’ve been restraining myself from buying it, since I have so much already. No one needs 1k of eye shadow, ahaha
Haha! True!!
Love it!
Me too!
Love your review but can u put a pic of the pallet thx 💙💙
