About My Blog

Hello there, how did you find me? Did I pop up when you googled a product on your wishlist? Or maybe I liked your cupcake recipe on WordPress. However you found me, I’m glad you’re here. Now a little about me.

I’m Vanessa, creator of Say Hello To Gorgeous, but you can call me V. I’ve been a fan of makeup from before I was even allowed to wear it. This blog is meant to connect with my fellow beauty lovers. Here I will be sharing updates about product launches, as well as writing about my own experiences with beauty products. I believe that makeup should be fun and so you won’t see a lot of posts about what not to do or belittling any style. Feel free to comment and share!

About Images

Unless otherwise noted, all the photos on this blog are my own. If I use another’s images, I will credit them to the best of my ability. If you are the owner of an image used on my site and would like it taken down, please contact me.

About Cruelty-Free

It’s surprisingly tough out there to find products that aren’t tested on animals. That’s why as of March 1, 2014, I am adding a cruelty-free category to my blog. This is a personal choice and I respect each of my readers’ decisions. If you would like to find out more about animal testing, please check out this HSUS page.

Please note that I no longer will be purchasing items tested on animals, and that any products featured that test on animals are products I purchased before this decision or are samples. I will be sure to note when a product is tested on animals.

About Contacting Me

Hey, did you know I have this contact form and email so we can chat outside of comments? If you want to talk makeup, write to me, please.

  1. Thanks for the Like and I would love to hear more about cruelty free products. 🙂 Following you would love it if you follow me back thanks 🙂

  2. Thank you for stopping by and liking my blog post. Also, I have to say I really like your stance on products that do NOT do animal testing. Being that I have a concern with ingredients from any product used on my skin I’m also moving towards no longer using products geared to animail cruelty or are harmful to the environment. It’s a process but I think it’s a good thing.

  3. Hi V,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I’m very pleased you like one of my post. I’m just a beginner in a blogosphere so it’s very exiting when someone actually read and even liked what I posted! 🙂

  6. Thanks for visiting my blog! I really appreciate it. I look forward to reading your posts as I’m not very versed in makeup application 🙂 and I love skincare reviews!

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog! I’m no beauty guru but I love lipstick because it completes each of my looks. I’ll be checking in on your blog for inspiration and ideas! XO

  8. Thanks so much for the “Like” on my posting about sex harassment in schools. I know so very little about the art of female beauty, the subject of your blog, so I can’t comment intelligently. It does give me a chance to pontificate upon one of my theories: I think that Art in general, and well as the esthetic appreciation of beauty in all forms, is founded upon the feminine Ideal. We, and especially men, just don’t know what is artistic — proportionality, texture, color . . . — unless shown by women. So women are the source of the idea of beauty.

  9. V, thanks so much for the like of my Game of Groans. Very happy that you don’t support testing on animals. Ridiculous testing! Excellent blog. Never to old to stay young with make-up tips! Thanks, again. Much appreciated.
