Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette Review

Good morning, loves. I know as I write this, many of you have heard of this product/seen reviews/own this. But it looks like I’ll be jumping on the Naked 3 bandwagon.

Naked 3 Palette

Color Selection: Having a mostly pink and purple color selection is brilliant. These colors are perfect for people who have to wear toned down makeup for their work or school, but are getting tired of browns. Plus there are enough dark colors in here to make a truly dramatic look if you want. Also, just look at these colors. Urban Decay has made it easy to mix and match these. You really can’t go wrong with any color combinations in this palette.

Finish Selection: The Naked palettes aren’t exactly known for having a good balance of matte and shimmer shades. It’s all shimmer all the way. That being said, there are at least two true matte shades and a couple others who have very little, insignificant shimmer.

Color Payoff: Most of these have a nice color payoff. I’m not blown out of the water, but the color payoff is good. The only dud is a light pink shimmer shade called Dust. I often find that light pink shades can lack pigmentation and alas, this was no exception

Extras: This comes with four primer samples and a double ended brush. I’m impressed with both. Usually, when a brand gives you samples, they give you just enough to use once–on half your face! The primer samples have already last me a good amount of time, more than the one week each is supposed to last. I also like the brush. Generally, I don’t use the brushes that come in makeup kits, but this one is pretty nice. The fluffy side is perfect for blending in crease colors and the smaller side makes it easy to apply eyeshadow as a liner on your bottom lash line.

Price: $54

Cruelty-Free: Yes

So what do you think? Have you tried any of the Naked palettes? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Dust is a bit of a let down but its perfect to add a touch of shimmer over a different look. I love the balance of matte and shimmer as there is enough matte shades to make a complete matte eye look its by go to pallette x

    • I sort of feel that way too. I love the colors and I still want to buy the other palettes, but I don’t think the quality of the eyeshadows themselves is much better than that of say Too Faced, which is a little cheaper.

  2. I absolutely love this palette V, got mine for Christmas along with the original and am still making my way through the primer samples… not fussed on the brush (prefer my RT ones) but the shadows are brill 🙂 XXXX

  3. Such a pretty palette! I hope to be able to get this one sometime along with the other 2 naked palettes lol. 🙂

  4. I want to love this palette so bad! However, the colors look too “cool,” (in color, compared to skin) for my liking. That, and over half the palette doesn’t really show up on my skin tone! The palette looks so pretty in every picture, it’s a shame. 😦

  5. I really like the Naked Basics palettes. They’re mostly matte and perfect for travel. But I also really love my Naked2 palette. It was actually the first Naked palette I bought and I was so obsessed I saved my spending money for months to get the others.

I’m with you on Dust. I tried using it once and it just got all over the place and I gave up. I didn’t figure it would be too pigmented, but I still wanted to test it out. Sometimes I like it for all over the lid to just give little shimmer.

    • I love my Naked 2 Basics palette. I’m really more of a matte person, but sometimes shimmers look so lovely mixed with mattes that I decided to purchase this 🙂 Naked2 is next on my list. I’m glad to hear you like it

    • Thanks Lena. I’m loving how easy it is to create beautiful looks with this palette. Every combination you can come up with is just lovely

  6. I am a die hard fan of the Naked 1 because its just no fuss browns, golds, and neutrals. However I do like having this one around for when I want to spice things up a bit, but not that much because its still a neutral palette lol

    • Haha, I know what you mean. I’m more of a brown neutral person, but I’ve been using this almost every day since I got it. I’ve been feeling ready for change

    • I have to say that I like Trick much better on my lid than I do in the pan. Being next to all those other purpley colors I hadn’t realized how rosey it was itself.

  7. I have the naked 3 as well but I’m just not a fan, I think all the colours wash me out. I heard the original naked palette is great though so I might try that. Great quality though!

  8. This is a very beautiful palette and I’m glad that I purchased it, however it’s not something I use on a daily basis. I think the Naked Basics 2 or the original Naked palette are more universal.

  9. So glad you weren’t “blow off” by the color pay off either, as was I! But I still have to say it’s a beautiful palette all in all and your look is very beautiful!

    • Thank you. I still like to use it and I think the color payoff is decent enough even for the price, but it’s nothing special, ya know?

      • Yeah I just think for $54, it should have been able to wow me! I still enjoy using it too because it’s a very unique palette that isn’t really offered in others (besides dupes).

      • Completely agree. If I’m paying more for this than even other high end products, I want to be blown away. Thanks for reading 😀

  10. I feel like it’s just so expensive and it’s more of a fad than anything. I want to take the jump but don’t at the same time.I do love my Kevin Aucyon palette but there’s not as many colors and it’s more browns. I might have to do a review on it, I hadn’t thought about it.

    • I know what you mean. It’s expensive even compared to other high end makeups. At the end of the day, I just couldn’t resist the colors

  11. I love this palette,i use it everyday and also for a more challenging make up. I bought it in december and now i have always to use it,it is perfect 😉 I agree with everything you said:-* xxx
